As salons across the UK prepare for reopening and the long-awaited end of Lockdown, ghd is giving everyone something to smile about with the second annual Official Good Hair Day – taking place this Friday!
While good hair days might have been few and far between with hairdressers closed for business, ghd has continued to inspire the industry throughout the latest period of closure with online education, livestreamed Q&As and two major new launches: the ghd heat protection styling range and the ghd max styler. These new power players will take centre stage for this year’s Official Good Hair Day, which will feature hairdressers across the globe coming together to showcase #playwithmax.
This year’s Official Good Hair Day – taking place on Friday 26th March – marks the start of a year of celebrations for ghd, as the brand turns 20 this spring. And with #20yearsofghd what better way to kickstart the anniversary than with a global celebration of brilliant hair, incredible artists and one big professional community?
What’s on Official Good Hair Day
Over the course of the day, ghd ambassadors from across the globe will take it in turns to go live on their Instagram pages, taking part in an all-day style marathon and sharing their signature looks with tips, tricks, techniques and trend insight – as well as a few memories from the last two decades of good hair days with ghd.

Representing the UK will be ghd ambassadors Adam Reed and Charlotte Mensah, broadcasting live from the ghd studio in Soho in a session hosted by ghd head of education in the UK and ROI, Janine Jennings. Adam and Charlotte will style three models each, creating their signature looks using ghd max. The entire session will be livestreamed on ghd’s YouTube channel, opening up the good hair day to a global community of hairdressers.

Save the date – Friday 26th March – and tune in from 6pm to see Adam and Charlotte’s looks HERE.
