Hair Extensions of the Year 2023 - Great Lengths

While the annual Great Lengths competition is the GLAMMIES, another important date on the calendar is the Hair Extensionist of the Year held at Salon International and sponsored by Great Lengths.

At a final hosted on stage over the weekend in October at the London event, we saw top trophies in 2023 awarded:

• Winner of the Commercial category is Beverly Rosser, an extension specialist at Rosser Hair Salon in Liverpool – a Great Lengths Elite Salon

• Winner of the Creative category is Jack Litherland at Samantha Cusick London – with salons in Notting Hill, Fitzrovia and Liverpool Street.

The standard of finalists is phenomenal we say – and proof again that the art of hair extension work has soared in recent years. Helped significantly by having fabulous products, tools and education. Great Lengths has accelerated this with an improved offering on training both in person and digitally. The brand’s advertising and marketing is impressive with photography that competes on any platform for showing simply stunning hair for all ages.

Judging: the best of the best

The jury for this edition of the HJ Hair Extensionist of the Year sponsored by Great Lengths included great names and talents:

Darren Ambrose, award-winning session and creative hairdresser, owner of D&J Ambrose
Paul Edmonds, award-winning hair and beauty salon owner at Paul Edmonds of London
Kirby Blythe – bridal specialist and Great Lengths Educator
Jade Pask, owner of the Hair Pod and a Great Lengths Master
Katie Hemmings at Love Hair Broadway, and a Great Lengths Master

Bravo on great decision making!

Joscelin McCourt

Joscelin McCourt, CEO of HB Collective, the home of Great Lengths, says: ‘I was so impressed with the quality of entries we received. The intricacy and attention to detail across the board was testament to how much pride and care extensionists take in their work, and it was incredible to see such a diverse range of beautiful looks. Congratulations to Beverley and Jack on being selected as our very deserving winners. This achievement provides a priceless opportunity to show your work to a wider audience – we are thrilled that hair extensions attract talented and passionate artists representing that at this level.

It’s so rewarding to see such talented and passionate artists working with hair extensions and I am thrilled that this achievement will provide a priceless opportunity to show their work to a wider audience.’
