Did you catch the Avlon team at Salon International? We did. They spent the weekend showcasing how to work with Black and Afro hair. To be honest, they made it look so easy by using the right products and applying their skills – we were mesmerised.
What we saw
Working on their stand within the Fellowship stage area, we caught up with Avlon educators: Jacqui, McIntosh, Lathaniel Chambers and Pashcan’el Mitchell. Whilst we were there, we managed to catch some incredible work by Avlon artists such as: Anderson Boyce, Chloe Robinson, Karen Douglas, Lady Job, Phebean Anthony, Anne Veck, Sandy Wood, Shazann Cumberbatch and Kimmy Roache.
Landing a spot on the Fellowship stage, multi-award winning hairstylist, Michelle Thompson presented two models with two very different looks for Avlon. On the first model Michelle showcased a cut with a sleek finish using the Texture Release range, whilst on her second model Michelle showed the audience how to cut curly/coily hair and embrace the curls, creating a 70’s inspired look.
