The Golden Globes… a night filled with A-listers, gossip (anyone else dying to know what Selena Gomez whispered to Taylor Swift?), couple debuts and the place to seek hair and fashion inspo – not forgetting the actual awards. We’re sharing some of our favourite hair looks from the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet. Whilst middle partings and sleek up-do’s seemed to be on trend we’ve nailed down a range of lengths, shapes and textures to ensure there is a look for everyone – so you can inspire clients whatever their hair type.
Golden Globes looks

Emma Stone
To kick things off, we have chosen this gorgeous shorter style on ‘best female actor in a film’ winner, Emma Stone, which shows us the power of simplicity. Emma’s hair is straight, sleek and shiny (and we LOVE her warm colour). The shorter lengths are classy and mature, and the detail of a slight flick at the ends gives a playful and dressy edge to the overall finish.

Oprah Winfrey
Oh la la, Oprah Winfrey certainly brought the luxury last night. We admire her bouncy curls, pulled to the side, creating a super-pretty look. Clients who want something more elegant are sure to love this one. When creating this look (like all looks), haircare is essential. Look at that photo; you can see how healthy, shiny and full of life Oprah’s hair is. And we all know how to achieve that! So, first of all, help clients with the proper care routine, and then you can recreate this luxe look.

Billie Eilish
Now, this one is sure to captivate an audience. This stunning hair look on Billie Eilish exudes confidence. Colour-wise, we applaud the contrast between a bright, daring red and deep black. While this look is pulled back into a topknot, face-framing sections add an edgy detail. Recreate for clients with somewhere to go! Kudos to Billie on taking home the ‘best original song in a film title’.

Issa Rae
Now, this one’s a classic. We admire a timeless look that clients can wear anywhere! This slicked-back style is elegant and allows us to focus on the absolute show-stealer of a dress. You can recommend this style for clients who want something classy and effortless or also if they want to go harder on makeup and wardrobe to balance the look.

Taylor Swift
Does your client have a fringe? Look to Taylor Swift who dazzled with a natural style we can only admire. If this doesn’t show off the beauty of ‘effortless’, we don’t know what does. When styling this on a client, ensure their hair is super-soft and healthy-looking. When creating a ‘natural’ style this is extra important. We like the soft movement through the ends as well. Although not super-volumized this look certainly isn’t ‘flat’.

Timothée Chalamet
And of course, a trend round-up wouldn’t be complete without some men’s inspo. So, here is Timothée Chalamet who looked stunning as usual. His hair length is slightly longer, and the curls create volume and a fuller finish. Here, Timothée certainly nails the ‘dishevelled’ rockstar look – and we were excited to see that Kylie loves it. This one is sure to be a hit with clients. If they are feeling extra daring, they could even take a leaf out of Timothée’s book and pair it with a sparkly outfit.

Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh’s look is certainly the answer for clients with shorter hair who want to WOW. This platinum blonde style is super-short and slicked back on the sides with a beautiful longer length at the front on top of the head, pulled forward. We like the contrast between the sicked back sides and the longer part with subtle movement. This one is sure to catch the eye of the passersby, so recommend it to clients with confidence.
We hope you’ve enjoyed looking through the Golden Globes styles as much as we have. Remember, the red-carpet is always a great source of inspo, so have fun with it and get creative!
