Headmasters are go!

News added 21/02/19: Andrew Barton [a national treasure these days we sayl] is superbly accomplished taking centre-stage delivering shows around the world, enchanting the great British public with makeovers on national TV, and heading up session teams for campaign photoshoots. But his heart, it seems remains with salon-based hairdressing. Having joined the 60-strong Headmasters group as creative director some months back, Andrew’s now seizing the opportunity to re-establish himself on the high street by launching the Headmasters Mayfair salon in London, as a franchisee. The man with a meg-watt smile appears perfectly set in this amaze-balls location with a brand he clearly adores. We’re hoping for a party invite very soon…

Andrew says: “Since joining Headmasters as Creative Director I have been delighted to work alongside such a dynamic team and business. My role is to build upon the success and reputation of the salon group, lead the creative team, represent the brand as an industry leader and help to develop future strategy. Owning the Headmasters Mayfair salon as a franchisee will be the perfect synergy between my greater role in the business and leading the Headmasters flagship salon. My passion has always been to give clients beautiful, wearable hair and dedicated customer service in a great environment alongside a talented team of experts and I am so excited to fulfil this with Headmasters.

HEADMASTERS AWARDS 2019 

News added 11/01/19: Kicking off 2019 with a celebration of the past 12 months, Headmasters rocked the room at London’s Battersea Evolution centre this week, for their annual awards bash. Long-legged Rylan off-the-telly proved a fab host, keeping more than 1,000 of the HM team amused with his wit and charm, while HM chairman John Sanders and CEO Raju Raymond announced the company has raised more than £100,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust this year. Wow! New creative director Andrew Barton and the creative ambassadors – led by Nicole Iroh – presented a wild hair show…  a high-octane night indeed.

News added 21/06/18: If you were to put his life story in a TV series, it would make the Netflix top 10 instantly, we feel! We’re talking about Andrew Barton, who just can’t stop surprising us with his every move. In the past couple of decades, the award-winning hairdresser and business-brain has moved a key role at Saks salon group, to become on-screen hero at Channel 4’s 10 Years Younger, then to set up his own central London salon in Covent Garden, followed by a move over to head Harrods to head up Urban Retreat. Mr Barton – who incidentally opened a landmark exhibition – Beehives and Barnets in Yorkshire which we anticipate seeing on the road soon – has just announced his latest adventure: A role as Creative Director at Headmasters group with more than 60 salons to appreciate his fabulousness. Can’t wait to see his impact on this already progressive brand.
As Creative Director, Andrew will lead, coach and inspire the Headmasters renowned artistic team to ensure exacting standards of hairdressing. He will create signature looks, services and salon experiences in line with Headmasters ethos of beautiful, fashionable, confidence-boosting hair as well as being brand spokesperson to continue to build on Headmasters success.
Andrew brings a wealth of experience from being the creative lead in large salon groups to heading luxury flagship salons in the world’s most famous shopping destinations.
