Paris Fashion Week with Uberliss

Paris Fashion Week looked like a whirlwind of creativity, inspiration and to-die-for hair looks. Uberliss collaborated with Caroline Hu for the brand’s SS24 show, Reverie. Uberliss and As I Am sponsored the event, supplying products. Lead stylist was Rutger, New York based session stylist and global brand consultant from the Netherlands. The aesthetic for the hair at Caroline Hu SS24 was architectural shapes (think hair pillows, hair clouds) mixed with simple, high-gloss, low ponytails. The short hair models had sleek, pulled-back looks with a sculptural finish.

Key Paris Fashion Week products

So, which products came in handy for these eye-catching runway styles? The main product was the Uberliss Powder Bliss Dry Shampoo, which creates a clean texture in the hair. The go-to finishing product was the Flexin Hairspray. Both products launch in the UK next year, so keep an eye out…especially if you love these sculptural-like hair looks.

Want to know how to recreate these looks for your own clients? Luckily for us, Uberliss has shared a how-to. Read on for a step-by-step guide to the sculptural hair looks and the sleek ponytails.

Look 1

  • Create a clean texture using Uberliss Powder Bliss Dry Shampoo
  • Divide hair into 3 ponytails on top of the head, teasing the tails up into big fluffy hair clouds
  • Then mold the hair into pillow-like shapes and secure with pins

Look 2

For some girls the Uberliss team kept the look less dramatic with simple, high-gloss low ponytails:

  • Brush hair tight to the scalp while working in layers of Uberliss As I Am Smoothing Gel (use multiple layers)
  • Secure the ponytail as tight as possible to the nape of the neck with an elastic string.
  • Saturate the ponytail with the As I Am Smoothing Gel to make it compact with lots of shine

We look forward to seeing you recreate these looks for clients; just because they were created for the runway doesn’t mean they can’t be translated into something wearable.
