Amplify your bob

Let’s look at ways we can amplify your bobs. French, Italian, Old Money, Blunt, Micro, there’s a style of bob for every client. We love a hairstyle that you can personalise to suit different personalities. And while they’re never really “out-of-style” (classics never are), the bob is undoubtedly having a moment. Celebrities sporting stylish and sleek bobs include Ayo Edebiri, Hailey Bieber and Rochelle Humes. Our social feeds are full of chin-skimming styles. We can see that influencers have been quick to jump on the trend, showing looks with flawlessly flicked bangs and luxe volume.

The most coveted bobs right now combine volume and movement with a soft texture that keeps that style from feeling too angular. And while there’s a bob to suit most clients’ hair types and lengths, what’s the best way to achieve that full, bouncy finish if the natural hair is anything but?

Great lengths, hair extensions new hair

Available in various shades and lengths, Great Lengths extensions blend seamlessly with natural hair and are ideal for adding natural-looking volume and texture without damage. The B Corp-certified extension brand offers two application methods – pre-bonded and GL Tapes. What makes Great Lengths so good? It’s high-quality, ethically sourced, double-drawn hair.

Amplify your bob with Vicky Demetriou

Vicky Demetriou, award-winning Great Lengths extensionist based at Larry King, recently used extensions to transform influencer Sophie Moulds’ new shoulder-length bob.

‘Bobs are always here to stay’, says Vicky. ‘This season, we’ve seen a lot more volume and movement on the top of the bob. With Sophie, we put an extra row of GL Tapes in either side of the hair, keeping it low (just above the ear) for thickness and strength through the bottom, leaving the top so you can flip from side-to-side. If your client’s hair is thinner, you can add a couple of tapes through the temples on either side. This will give you a strong line and thickness in the front, amplifying the bob.’

What’s in it for you?

(other than flawless finishes that clients will rave about)

In addition to their transformative abilities, offering Great Lengths as a service in salons can boost revenue and attract a new client base. Adding extensions for volume can take as little as 30 minutes, increasing the average client bill by a significant margin and creating huge potential to grow salon profits. Additionally, Great Lengths offers a comprehensive support system to salons, including education, marketing materials, and ongoing customer support. By becoming a Great Lengths certified salon, hair professionals can tap into a lucrative market and unlock endless possibilities for their clients.

B Corp month

Great Lengths is B Corp

Great Lengths is also the first extensions company to achieve B Corp status, an impressive feat. The brand’s partnership with the Little Princess Trust was also an industry first, allowing clients to donate their worn hair extensions, once removed, to the charity that uses the hair to make wigs for children and young people experiencing hair loss from cancer or other illnesses.
