Hairdresser and salon John Gillespie joined Respectfully host Nicky Pope for a conversation about the changing needs of the hairdressing industry. During the conversation, John shares with Nicky news of the new Phenix Salon Suites company and how this rolls out in the UK.
Following the resounding success of its first UK venue in Manchester, Phenix Salon Suites, a flexible workplace for hair and beauty professionals, is set to open a new site in the heart of Birmingham city centre. The building comprises individual units which can be hired on short term arrangements, and used exactly as you wish.
With no long-term contracts or hidden costs, hairdressers and barbers will be provided with a backwash, styling chair and hair trolley, while nail artists, beauty therapists and aestheticians will be offered sink units and storage trolleys, plus a treatment bed.
Tenants can furnish their own rooms (with plumbing/backwash in each) while shared facilities mean client comfort is taken care of. Phenix – an American based company – offers advice and education which tenants may tap into without obligation.
In addition, each tenant will also have access to a break room/kitchen space, as well as an on-site laundry room with free use of commercial equipment for fast washing and drying, as well as secure 24/7 access via an intercom system.
