Phorest goes beach cleaning

Great to see a community spirit from Phorest who hosted a beach cleanup event held at Bull Island, Dublin. The event was part of the global Plastic Free July initiative, and underlines the Phorest commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Spoiler alert: Beaches aren’t just for pleasure! A vital part of the environment to host birds, shellfish and sea turtles. Beaches help slow the impact of weather storms and waves on eroding the land. We could go on. But you get the picture. We need to look after our beaches. Phorest is doing its bit.

Cleaning up

Phorest Beach Cleaning

A dedicated team of Phoresters collaborated with Clean Coasts, a prominent Irish organisation devoted to the protection and preservation of Ireland’s coastlines. Clean Coasts empowers communities across the country to act through beach cleanups, marine litter education, and various conservation projects. By partnering with Clean Coasts, Phorest played a role in safeguarding the natural beauty of Ireland’s beaches, contributing to the reduction of plastic waste that poses a significant threat to marine life.

Lovely to see enthusiastic participation from Phorest employees – enjoy the photographs! They worked together to remove litter and debris from the shores of Bull Island. The collective effort not only improved the local environment but also highlights Phorest’s ongoing dedication to community engagement in pursuing actions that support sustainability.

Sarah McEvoy, Interim Head of People at Phorest, commented on the event, saying, “At Phorest, we believe in taking tangible actions to support the environment and our community. Partnering with Clean Coasts for this beach cleanup allowed us to make a real difference, and we’re incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to creating a cleaner, greener future.”

Phorest extends its gratitude to everyone who participated in the cleanup and is committed to continuing its support for environmental initiatives in the future.

And we thank Phorest for being so positive in taking action. For more information on the brand, see HERE
