Charity Golf Day was a swinging success

A little birdie (pardon the pun) tells us that the HBSA and Hair & Beauty Charity Annual Golf Day was a huge success. Raising £6,864.75 as 48 industry pro’s dared Hellidon Lakes 27-hole course. This competitive bunch has a great day, despite the weather, which saw monumental rain showers throughout the day.

Once dried off, golfers and guests enjoyed a sit-down dinner where four impressive awards were handed out:

  • Best Individual – Chris Barker of Barkers (sponsored by Sienna X)
  • Best Team – Kao Salon Division (sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional in memory of Peter Belcher)
  • Longest Drive – Paul Brooks of Alan Howard (sponsored by Kao Salon Division)
  • Nearest the Pin – Steve Jarrett of The Gallery (sponsored by Wella Professionals)

Putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising the evening continued with an auction featuring a collection of wines, two tickets to a Chelsea game and a round of golf. Plus more exciting prizes were drawn from a raffle.

Natalie Booker, Hair & Beauty Charity manager said: “We are thrilled with the turnout and the spirit displayed by everyone despite the rainy weather. The generosity and support from our sponsors, teams and individual players are what make events like these possible, enabling us to continue our vital work within the hair and beauty communities.”

The day’s success was supported by a number of sponsors including: Kao Salon Division who generously sponsored the dinner, Sienna X, Schwarzkopf Professional and Wella Professionals sponsored the awards.
