Ribbon Lights

Ribbon Lights by OSMO Ambassador Jake Nugent 2

New trend alert! Ribbon Lights is set to be the next beautifully, layered colour trend. Prepare to see more of this throughout the rest of 2024. A progression of the Tiramisu trend from spring 2023 that had three different shades of brown: a warm tan shade with a yellow undertone, a deep warm brown, and a light brown with gold to reflect. The Ribbon Lights is a technique designed to create a natural-looking blend that weaves luminosity throughout your locks.

Get the Look

Jake Nugent, OSMO Ambassador explains further, “Colour placement is key with this look, so you’ll be getting depth and texture to the finished look.  It’ll work great with a baby balayage technique as it’s less maintenance and you can build the look with more shades too. With this look, I’d say less is more.  It’s important to create blonde and golden ribbons throughout the hair and make sure you keep enough dark in the hair for that contrast effect.”

Aftercare is key with this look as you want it shimmer and shine – So, weekly deep moisturising treatments are key.  The OSMO Deep Moisture Intensive Repair Mask (RRP £6.70) is infused with Jojoba to breathe life and lustre into chemically stressed hair, so it’s left silky, smooth, and more manageable. When cleansing, a purple shampoo like the OSMO Super Silver No Yellow Shampoo (RRP £14.80) will enable the blonder tones to pop whilst regular use of the OSMO Colour Revive in Café Latte (RRP £17.50) will gently tone in-between salon visits.
