It was an inspiring start to the month for the Laceys team, who had the pleasure of attending Joico’s Future Fifty Fest in Milan — a dazzling celebration marking the brand’s 50th anniversary. Joined by over 1,000 members of the #JoicoFamily, the event was a glamorous showcase of creativity, community, and innovation in hairdressing.

The evening opened with an outstanding hair show that blended dance, catwalk performances, and motivational education. With the theme of “decades,” talented artists interpreted their chosen eras through inventive styling and cutting, combining artistry with advanced technical skill.
Highlights included Richard Mannah’s tribute to the 90s Supermodel Era and the Marc Antoni Team’s futuristic vision, Futuristic Fusion. The show also featured Blonde Expert Bona Joerg, who demonstrated her precise 18-foil technique and unveiled her Modern Day Madonna look — a striking homage to pop culture and the power of bold blondes.
The UK’s own Gill Berry, Dan Spiller, and David Murray also took to the stage, captivating the audience with their Confident Classic looks. Their presentation emphasised the artistry and precision behind timeless, premium hairdressing techniques.

Recently, Laceys hosted Gill Berry’s Confident Classics course, where stylists explored the craft of high-level colouring and cutting. The latest Square Graduation Cut session offered an in-depth, hands-on learning experience — giving hairdressers practical skills to elevate their salon work.
At night, the party began; glitter, live music, delicious food, endless dancing and drinks that flowed all evening, in true Joico fashion it was amazing! Thank you Joico for capturing the spirit and beauty of the hair.
