Halloween Hair Trends

Charlotte Paints Hair unveils three spell-binding looks for Halloween, reimagining seasonal colour with artistry, innovation, and fearless creativity.

Forget traditional copper pumpkins and predictable autumn shades — The Charlotte Paints Hair team is redefining Halloween hair with a collection of creative colour looks that are as bold as they are beautiful.

Each look channels the spirit of Halloween in a different way — from mystical greens to fiery copper blends and sultry purple tones — showcasing the Painters talent for combining technical precision with artistic imagination.

Green with envy – Emily, Elite Painter & Stylist

Inspired by the idea of envy and transformation, Emily’s look breaks free from the expected warm tones of the season.

“My inspiration was green with envy — a spin on Halloween that isn’t your usual copper or pumpkin colour,” Emily explains. “I wanted something modern, fashion-forward, and just a little bit wicked.”

I began with a foliage technique using Davines Progress 20vol, creating soft yet dimensional lifting that maintains the hair’s natural texture and health. I then applied Evo Jade, a striking creative colour that captures light and movement beautifully.

The colour was paired with a sharp bob, designed to accentuate the bold green hue. The result is a clean, graphic silhouette that allows the colour to take centre stage.

“The cut really makes the colour pop,” Emily adds. “It’s crisp, confident, and a little unexpected — just like the modern Halloween mood.”

Red revival – Grace, Mini Painter & Stylist

Grace inspiration from the warmth of autumn but gave it a high-fashion twist through her use of colour blocking and seamless blending.

“I wanted to show how coppers and reds can coexist in harmony without looking too traditional,” she says.

Using a freehand pre-lightening technique, I created a multi-dimensional canvas before layering varied tones of copper and red. This technique allowed her to add depth and movement, with lighter sections catching the light and darker areas providing a rich, fiery base.

The colour block placement adds structure and interest, while the soft blend ensures the result is both wearable and dynamic.

“It’s fiery but sophisticated — the kind of look that feels like luxury autumn, not costume colour,” Grace explains.

Spookie Pookie – Gaby, Ace Painter & Stylist

Every Halloween needs a touch of playfulness, and Gaby delivered exactly that with her third creation — affectionately named ‘Spooky Pookie.’

“I couldn’t resist giving this one a fun name!” she laughs. “It’s all about embracing colour that feels magical, a little spooky, but still totally wearable.”

I used Evo Plum and Lavender, applied in a colour block formation, to create a dreamy, witchy effect. The combination of deep purple and soft pastel tones gives the hair dimension and mystery, evoking everything from moonlit nights to mystical auras.

The finish is soft, glossy, and fluid — the kind of hair that turns heads for all the right reasons.

“It’s that perfect balance between edgy and enchanting,” says Gaby. “Halloween hair doesn’t have to scream costume.
