Tribute show 2019

Tribu-te’s Nicky Pope, Federico Patelli @ Toni & Guy, Lilly Cox and Mike Vincent

Wow! Just wow. With a line-up including Kevin Murphy (yes, the man himself), Sally Brooks, Antoinette Beenders, Angelo Seminara, Eugene Souleiman and Tom Connell – not forgetting Trevor Sorbie watching from Aldwych Theatre’s royal box – the Tribu-te Show 2019 was always set to be a corker. But this year the team blew it out of the park – bias I know, but come on.

The energy was buzzing with excitement as the audience poured into the theatre to take their seats. Kick starting the event was the first ever UK The Big One Awards. Huge congratulations to all the winners, so so well deserved – head over to our sister site Tribu-te for the full list of winners. Special mention has to go to Toni and Guy’s Federico Patelli, who took home the award for Young Talent but more importantly scooped UK Hairdresser of the Year too. Big love Frederico, you rock!

Next up Kevin Murphy opened the show with a breathtaking presentation and some fancy work with the tongs. The result was breathtakingly beautiful of course. After a short interval to charge glasses, the tribute to Trevor Sorbie began. There’s so much to say but somehow words don’t do the presentations justice. Each look was utterly mesmerising yet unique in their own way, just like each of their creators, all of whom were protege’s of the main man himself. Take a look at the pictures to give you a little taste of the night and pop the date in your diary for next year NOW. Trust us, you won’t want to miss out.
