Yet while each of us takes the time to digest what this means for hairdressing and particularly your business, we’re already hearing stories of positivity and the sharing of skills and education. Paul Edmonds for example is challenging his team to take take part in daily education, while Barrie Stephen is giving £20 vouchers to NHS workers. Gary Taylor of Edward and Co and Austen Thomson have made light-hearted videos on how clients can deal with their roots. Love them all! The Fellowship for British Hairdressing is making its online education platform, #THEKNOWLEDGE free and accessible to everyone to support the industry during the pandemic. Essentially a library of videos covering inspiration, education and innovation, #THEKNOWLEDGE features Fellowship members and industry icons, including Karine Jackson, Robert Masciave, Sam Burnett and Robert Eaton. Education in isolation
Patrick Cameron has launched Education in Isolation on Instagram Live. Tune in for weekly broadcasts, aimed to provide stylists with a blend of step-by-step tutorials, motivational sessions and also an opportunity to ask Patrick and Creative Director Marco Erbi questions. Extensionist extraordinaire Michelle Griffin has released a series of ‘Get the Look’ style videos on her YouTube account. The Salon Jedi
