After landing finalist positions in five categories, Nikita Fisher had a high chance of taking home at least one Colour World Genius Award, so you can imagine how thrilled she was to be summoned to the Colour World stage twice. Both an innovative and commercial genius, we caught up with Nikita to see why these two categories are important to her.
Commercial Colour
“Commercial hair has always been a huge passion of mine. Majority of day-to-day work in the salon is blondes & brunettes, with the odd copper and red head. It’s what has built the Palmer Fisher London brand, plus it’s built my personal clientele and helped with building my name in the industry. Understanding the basic fundamentals of hair and lightening/darkening is essential to bring a great stylist. As well as having a great visual eye and taste.”
Innovative Colour
“Bringing new colour trends to life is another great passion of mine. As an artist it’s important to push the boundaries of ‘normal’ and look to create new and unseen hair combinations on the right person – this is when magic happens. Creating a collection of fresh, current ideas on a selection of models is one of my biggest excitements in the hair industry. as well as being able to educate others on my thought process & moodboards details that helped create the end.”
