Big City Lights

Colour is endlessly intriguing and photographic techniques today give hairdressers more options for playing with light on colour. In this collection entitled Big City Lights, colourist Kristie Kesic at Cobelle in Australia emulates in hair the vivid light trails of traffic filmed on timed exposure. Fascinating!

Kristie says:

“As the sun retires and blue sky blackens into darkness, the big cities’ true personality ignites. Lights illuminate from every skyscraper, windows reflecting life from within, billboards flash and bustling movement below creates a strong contrast against the carved silhouette of the night skyline.

“Into the night as the city speeds up, a lone soul stands still, and time moves around them. A moment in time is captured with shutter speed slowed down; a new dimension exposed. Movement is illuminated with vivid light trails, ribboning in every direction as they move and merge into each other. Colours are intensified and vast in palette, depicting the vibrant life of the city dwellers.”
