Andrew Barton awarded Honorary Fellow Award

The Fellowship for British Hairdressing has awarded renowned celebrity hairdresser, Andrew Barton the title of Honorary Fellow. Andrew, who has worked with the fellowship throughout his career in various roles – and more recently hosted The Knowledge – was presented with the much-coveted Honorary Fellow medal at the Fellowship’s annual awards early this month.

Andrew commented: “I’ve been a long-time supporter of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, and passionately support its objectives. Like my ABLE scholarship programme, The Fellowship aims to elevate British and hairdressing and this is one of the many reasons I’m delighted to be awarded a Fellow with Honours. A massive thank you to everyone at the Fellowship for this, it truly is an honour. I’m looking forward to the future and helping to support the industry through my work with the Fellowship and nurturing the future generation of hairdressing through my ABLE and Barton Bespoke programmes.”

Fellowship President, Ken Picton, added: “Andrew has been a long-time supporter of the Fellowship so I was delighted to present him with his medal. Andrew has such a massive influence in our industry and I’m glad he’s been recognised for his passion and support over the years.”

So where do you go when you’ve been presented as an Honorary Fellow? Restrictions permitting Andrew and his partner are looking forward to some much-needed R&R in the Caribbean – sounds dreamy!
