It makes a change to see the fabulous Karen Lowe, owner of AKAcreate, in front of the camera – usually you’ll find her backstage at shows including ColourWorld and the Tribu-te Show, making sure everything goes just swimmingly (not an easy feat we know), we salute you Karen! Thankfully she agreed to speak at the LAB and was a huge hit – we even spied hairdressing heavyweight Akin Konizi from HOB Salons taking pictures of her presentation slides. Karen’s tips were invaluable, including everything from ensuring your impact satisfies your aim, how to up and down-scale your collection to a variety of audiences and finally, the big one – the importance of keeping your technical rehearsal just that, technical.
