Culture is the latest collection by David Barron. David is a stylist and owner of Barron Salon London. With 50 years of experience under his belt, David is certainly someone to watch for inspiration.
Inspired by architecture and culture, this collection focuses on shapes. Look closely at each look and you’ll see hard and soft lines. David demonstrates how we can use hair as a material. Let this give you some ideas for your own creations.
Culture inspiration
David: I drew inspiration from the captivating world of architecture to make a small collection of mesmerising hair designs. Inspired by the interplay of hard and soft lines found in buildings, I translated architectural elements into hair creations. Just as buildings are constructed with curves and shapes that seamlessly come together, I carefully designed and cut hairstyles that incorporated these elements, resulting in harmonious compositions.
Culture also played a vital role in shaping my collection. I recognised the profound influence that culture has on artistic expression. By infusing my designs with cultural motifs and influences, I celebrate the beauty and diversity of different traditions. These hair designs are a testament to the interconnectedness of all cultures. Through artistry, I demonstrate how culture ties everything together. From fashion, to architecture, to hair, culture transcends borders and unites people through the universal language of beauty and design.
