Colour World Genius Awards 2024

It’s January 2024 and we all know what that means…The Colour World Genius Awards 2024 are live! After a successful CWGA2023, we saw a record number of entries with over 650 individual’s entering, we can’t wait to receive some more excellent entries in to showcase the talent in 2024. This year we have 10 categories to enter, with one new exciting category for you to cast your eyes to. Enter HERE!

But before we jump into everything shiny and new, it’s time to recognise and shout about the wonderful 2023 winners…

  • Stephanie Gamble – Creative Colour  
  • Shane Aherne – Colour Correction  
  • Alfie Pfeffer – Commercial Colour  
  • Giuseppe Stelitano – Innovative 
  • Stephanie Gamble – Mens Colour  
  • Casey Coleman – #Colourtastic 
  • Paul Watts – Colour Communicator 
  • Anne Veck – Afro Colour 
  • Stevie English – International Colour  

We hope to see them entering again this year to fight for their title… You may even see a few of them at the Colour World 2024 event so keep your eyes peeled.   

This brings us to the categories…   

What have we got lined up for 2024: 

People’s Choice Genius Awards

Starting off by introducing the People’s Choice Genius Awards, our most recent video category where entrants send us a reel of their best colour process for us to post on @colourworlduk – keep a look out on our Instagram to feel inspired, get involved, or see your work fly!  

Creative Colour Genius Award

Next up, we have the Creative Colour Genius Award, we are looking for someone brave and bold in their use of colour to create a total showstopper. Sounds like you, well it’s time to get your entry in.  

Colour Correction Genius Award

Our third award is the Colour Correction Genius Award, we fix up so many colour corrections in the salon so now it’s time to share your best one… Show us how you can assess colour and make corrections to become a tasteful transformation.  

Commercial Colour Genius

To follow, we have the Commercial Colour Genius, this calls for all the trend lovers out there to stand up and showcase your work… An opportunity to create an accessible yet head-turning colour, making sure it’s reflective of current trends. 

Mindful Colour Genius

Our fifth category is an exciting one… New, fresh, and looking for the first individual to swoop up this award. Introducing the Mindful Colour Genius an award dedicated to showing us your salon, and how efficiently it is run. Whether it is behind closed doors, on show, we want to know how your colour bar is run, stocked and disposes of waste. Are you the most sustainable colour salon in the UK? Fight for your title with this award… 

Men’s Colour Genius Award

Men’s Colour Genius Award, it’s time to showcase how important it is to the male client… Show us your best men’s colour. Whether to totally transform a look, enhance a cut, or blend out grey – demonstrate your talent and your eye for following trends.  

#Colourtastic Genius

Next our second video award… The #Colourtastic Genius. We want to see your best work, find out why you are colour obsessed, and hear more about your colour journey. You can gather some inspo from previous winners, but we really want to see your personality come into this, so be yourself and enjoy videoing!  

Colour Communicator Genius

The final video entry is the Colour Communicator Genius. In this category, we want to hear all about what makes you the best Colour Communicator… Are you a great educator? Do you run an awesome social media platform sharing all things colour? We want to hear your story…We’re looking for the people who communicate colour best. So, explain yourself and be in for a chance.  

Afro Colour Genius Award

The penultimate category is the Afro Colour Genius Award, here to celebrate all things working with afro hair. Show us how you have an eye for enhancing shape, texture and line with a head-turning look. A reminder, we don’t want to see any wigs or hairpieces, we are looking for afro hair only. 

International Colour Genius Award

Finally, to round off these awards, the final category is the International Colour Genius Award. We’re always seeing fabulous work from across the globe all over socials, and we want to get involved. So, if you’re outside of the UK, and looking to enter, this is your category… Come on, send us your best looks.
