Adam Reed London opens its doors

He’s a staple name in the world of hairdressing both in the salon and backstage, now after after a decade as one half of salon brand Percy&Reed, hairdresser/ L’Oréal Professional UK and ghd Global Brand Ambassador Adam Reed is going solo and his new space Adam Reed London is to die for – we’d expect nothing less.

It’ll come as no surprise that Adam’s new venture is not your traditional salon, he likes to think of it more as a creative hub and having seen the pictures we have to agree. Just check out the warm, welcoming space where clients can be as peaceful or productive as they like. A space for them to read, relax or work. Yes, they can also get their hair done!
For his first solo salon launch, Adam is  bringing together a new set of unique guiding ‘hair principles’, basically his point of view on hair, which will guide all salon services at Adam Reed London. Using his years of experience as a salon owner and travelling widely, Adam is making this salon utterly personal.

A ‘no trend’ salon

“We’re not talking trends” says Adam. “I firmly believe there’s no ‘one size fits all’- it’s all about creating personality in your hair. My clients aren’t massively bothered by what’s on trend every week. My heritage has always been about creating beautiful, wearable hair and that’s what you’ll find in the salon.”

The hairstyle/life playbook

“I don’t ever want a client’s hair to look good for 20 minutes when they leave the shop,” says Adam.  Accompanying the ‘Hairstyle/Lifestyle’ consultations could be lessons in heat styling or a product demonstration to find the genius picks that will help clients maintain their style. Interesting!

Bespoke colour

Every client will get a tailored experience. The most important thing is the conversation between the client and the stylist. The trust that is built will allow the colourist to employ a curated mix of professional techniques and L’Oréal Professionnel hair colours in order to create the perfect look for the client. And it’s the same with haircutting. Adam believes that great cutting is all down to the relationship between the stylist and the client;  even if it’s the first time they’ve met.

Wishing you all the best Adam. Don’t forget to pop into the salon to check it out!
