Current British Hairdresser of the Year, Robert Eaton is a renowned colour expert and son of Russell Eaton – with two eponymous salons in the North of England. Working alongside his sister and father, Robert is Creative Director of Russell Eaton salons with premises in Leeds City Centre and the original salon in Barnsley. A prominent name and advocate for the Fellowship For British Hairdressing, and an educator, Robert is part of the younger generation of dynamic hairdressing but takes the family business very seriously.
Kerry Mather celebrates 30 years of the successful KJM Salon in Fleet, Hampshire. She is a former member of The Fellowship’s Colour Project, Kerry has assisted backstage at numerous fashion weeks, as well as being nominated for Southern Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards three times and winning Salon Team of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.

Robert and Kerry join Nicky Pope and Lauren Stone on this edition of the Respectfully podcast to discuss marketing for their salons. Each come from entirely different salon settings, so we discuss what is similar and what varies in growing an urban salon business in different scenarios. Recorded during the Covid 19 Lockdown in Spring 2020, the guests also reference how they anticipate the salons might do when the restrictions are lifted.
