In this episode of our podcast we talk about photographic collections and how they ‘fit’ into hairdressing! From winning awards to promoting your business, to extending your skill set, photography is a key focus. Nicky Pope talks with hairdressers Bruno Marc and Tomer Nagar to find out their thoughts on where photographic collections can help drive our creativity and our success.
Tomer Nagar is a hairstylist and style director Toni&Guy South Shoreditch and an educator at the Toni&Guy London Academy. Tomer was born in Israel, his father is a hairdresser, and Tomer came to the UK eight years ago to follow his dream of working on shows and shoots as well as in the salon. Last year, Tomer won The Experimental One in The Big One trophy 2022. We love his avantgarde work and his way of presenting hair photography in a challengingg yet beautiful way.
Bruno Marc is on of the brothers who own the 4-salon strong Marc Antoni group in the south of England. He’s a multi-award winner in his own right and in 2021 won The Team One at the Big One awards. Bruno is also International Creative Director for Joico EMEA, and heads up the creative teams for both salon and brand collection shoots. The Marc Antoni group has also recently opened and academy and will launch salons in China.
We’re here to talk all things photography – is hairdressing still focussed on photography as much as ever
