Winter Wedding Trend Predictions

This year has been all things bridal, we’ve seen lots of amazing celebrities wed with gorgeous classic updos, flawless waves and some sleek, elegant buns. Wedding hair looks are best when they are perfectly timeless, whether it’s a statement style with a touch of pearls or some beautiful boho waves. The most popular wedding looks differ ever so slightly depending on the season. But how do you choose what is going to be the best fit for your bride? Alex Thaddeus from Alex Thaddeus Hairdressing shares her winter wedding hair trend predictions for the upcoming winter season.

Up do & loose face framing

An updo is a timeless and a defining classic wedding hairstyle, a more modern take of this, that I am predicting more of this winter is a more relaxed and undone variation of this style. The addition of loose face framing, and tousled texture creates an elegant yet effortless lived-in appearance. This look continues looking perfect the more the day goes on as it leans on the fallen out features you naturally see. I would say this is the perfect look for those wanting something more natural and romantic, whilst embracing their careless side.

Hair Pearls

Hair pearls are showing no signs of leaving this winter. This elegant hair accessory is the perfect edition to any style to elevate the look even further, creates a feel of, effortless luxury. It’s highly versatile on all hair lengths as you simply weave pearl beads into the already styled or natural look. My personal favourite variation of this look is the pearls weaved and positioned in line with the parting, this adds the perfect level of sophistication and luxury in a very unique way. This is an ideal wedding style for a bride looking to subtly add something extra to their wedding look.

Sleek Bun

A sleek bun is becoming a staple wedding look, with its striking clean silhouette this style is defined by its smoothing qualities, pulling the hair completely back and drawing attention to the face, creating a sophisticated and elegant look. A variation of the sleek bun that I have been seeing and predict to be big this year is a slick back low bun. This look is highly reliant on creating a smooth glossy wet finish and is the perfect style for anyone looking to keep the hair off the face.

Communication is key when it comes to ensuring your client is happy with their bridal hair look. Always organise a consultation, ensuring all details are ironed out ahead of the big day, to keep making your clients hair dreams come true.
