The conversation around wellness is changing – and so is the role of the salon.
Today’s clients are looking for more than a haircut, colour appointment or styling service. They’re seeking experiences that support confidence, wellbeing and self-care, while increasingly viewing hair health, scalp care, stress management and beauty as part of the same conversation.
Recognising this shift, Tribu-te Magazine is launching its first-ever Wellness Symposium on 24 June in central London, bringing together leading experts, brands and salon professionals to explore how wellness is shaping the future of hairdressing.

A New Era for Hair and Beauty
Taking place at the beautiful Étage Studio in London’s Shoreditch, the symposium will explore how salons can respond to changing consumer expectations while creating new opportunities for business growth.
As wellness becomes an increasingly important part of the beauty landscape, services such as scalp treatments, hair health consultations, hair extensions, head massages and holistic client experiences are becoming valuable additions to salon offerings.
The event will also address an equally important conversation: the wellbeing of hairdressers themselves. From navigating work-life balance and preventing burnout to discovering how technology, education and mentoring can support professional growth, the symposium aims to provide practical insights for every stage of a hairdresser’s career.
Bringing Together Industry Experts
Hosted by Nicky Pope, UK Publisher of Tribu-te Magazine and Chair of the Hair Committee at the British Beauty Council, the event will feature a programme of expert presentations, panel discussions and audience conversations.
The symposium will open with a welcome from Josh Wood, Vice-Chair of the British Beauty Council, before exploring the growing relationship between hair, beauty and wellness.
Confirmed speakers and brands include:
- Oribe – premium, wellness-led haircare
- Remi Cachet – leaders in luxury human hair extensions
- Phorest Software – empowering salons through technology
- Diva Pro Styling – tools designed with hair health in mind
- Louis Byrne – hairdresser and manifestation coach
- Dr Sharon Wong – consultant dermatologist and hair specialist
- Chloe Heyworth – trichologist and hair loss specialist
- Janan Duruel – nutritionist at Loca Hair Beauty Health
Together, they’ll discuss the trends, services and innovations helping salons meet the needs of modern clients.
More Than Just a Seminar
Designed to encourage meaningful conversation and connection, the evening will combine expert insights with networking opportunities and audience participation.
The schedule includes:
5pm – Welcome drinks and networking
6pm – Presentations and panel discussions
8pm – Audience Q&A with all speakers
9pm – Event close
