The Sean Hanna sports day: family, fun, and fierce competition

The Sean Hanna salon group in London had a really tough time in Covid, being forced to make changes and close a couple of premises. But with age and experience, Sean knows the value of having a loyal team, and he’s shown them a lot of love and concern over the years. This is a lovely example of how he builds team spirit. We were at their awards at the beginning of the year – now this. Way to go, Sean Hanna people!

Tomm Bucknell, managing director, and Lloyd Court, colour director, really brought the energy to Nonsuch Park. The summer sports day united salons from Sutton, Worcester Park, Wimbledon, and Cambridge. It sounds like there was a lot of fun. Let this inspire you to organise fun days out with your own salon. It’s clear just how much joy they bring.

The Sean Hanna group warmly welcomed families and children, creating the perfect setting for a picnic and activities suitable for all ages. Teams eagerly engaged in races, tug-of-war and rounders, with many little ones emerging as the day’s champions. Cute!

It was a fantastic day of team building and family bonding, with many of the team celebrating long-standing relationships within the Sean Hanna group. As the event wrapped up, there was a genuine sense of unity and positivity that beautifully reflected the group’s devotion to their team and their shared excitement for the road ahead.

Tomm Bucknell

Tomm says: “We have been running these annual sports days for quite a few years. We love it. We get to see the team having fun away from the salon and it is so very special when they bring their children with them”
