That haircut scene in Fleabag though…

fleabagWe’re feeling seriously blue this Monday knowing we haven’t got an episode of BBC 3’s Fleabag to dunk our Hobnobs to tonight (insert sob – actually make that wail.)

Anyway, we couldn’t let the end of this hilarious series pass without a mention of THE hair cut scene. You know, the bit where Fleabag’s sister Claire breaks down over a less than desirable hair cut after feeling brave at the hairdressers (Come on, we’ve all done it)? “I look like a pencil,” she sobs on a park bench.

Fleabag
Where can we get one of these bags? Genius

Back to the salon

Having marched Claire back to the salon to confront Anthony, the stylist responsible for her new ‘do, Fleabag and her sister are told that “hair isn’t everything” – which left us hysterically laughing obvs. Fortunately, Fleabag was primed to school Anthony on all the reasons he was wrong. She pretty much spoke for the female race when she declared: “It’s the difference between a good day and a bad day… hair is everything.” Could not have said it better ourselves, or related to anything more for that matter. Comedy genius!

But please, please don’t take our word for it. Words truly do not do this three minute scene of pure hilarity justice. Check it out HERE or on BBC iplayer – BBC3, Season two, episode five, eight minutes in. Go, go, go.

Is Monday over yet?
