Blonde is always in – but what are the hottest blonde hues we’re seeing this summer? Blonde Solutions Educator, Daisy Hawkins based in her home salon and The Style Bar in Sheffield shares her take on the hottest blonde trends for Summer and her go-to toners to achieve these looks.
Scandi blondes
Scandi blondes has been such a huge trend recently. I love beautiful, natural looking Scandi blondes with that gorgeous natural Scandi hairline which brightens around the face – perfect for those who want to go a bit lighter for summer without fully committing to it. Thanks to the lift and tone power of Blonde Solutions. It’s super easy to achieve whilst maintaining the integrity of the hair.
I created this look using Blonde Solutions 10 Vol mixed 1–1.5 leaving the face frame raw due to the amazing lift and tone power of Blonde Solutions, it’s such a clean lift which works so well for achieving that Scandi hairline. Toned with Viridi for a more natural looking blonde.
Curlyage
Curlyage is a technique designed specifically for clients with curly hair, it combines curls and balayage, adapting classic balayage techniques to work with the unique texture and movement of curly hair. The colour is applied in a way that complements and enhances the curls, highlighting the natural shape and volume of the curls to add dimension and depth. This look is all about colour placement accentuating the curls beautifully.
On my client I used Blonde Solutions 35 vol with 1-2 ration and toned with Blonde Solutions Liquid Toner in Rose to achieve a stunning shade of champagne blonde.
I think timeless looks that everyone love are bleach and tone platinum blondes for, super pretty looks that can be delicate. For the perfect platinum or bleach and tone look I use 1-1.5 ratio and then one of the Blonde Solutions liquid toners (available in Chrome (Ash), Viridi (Beige), Rose (Champagne) or Platinum) depending on the client’s desired result.
The most important thing when it comes to blonde hair is maintaining the condition. This is is why I love the Blonde Solutions Liquid Toners which include ingredients such as rice protein, cocoa butter and shea butter, which are super hydrating and strengthening to keep your hair strong and beautiful and clients can have this done as an in-salon treatment between appointments.
