You may know Sheila as the Freelance Hairdressers Association (FHA) founder. Congratulations Sheila! We love seeing hard work and dedication pay off.

The MBE, announced in the King’s New Year Honours List, recognises Sheila Abrahams for her dedication to supporting freelance hairdressers nationwide. Sheila has played a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community, providing education, and advocating for the rights and interests of freelance hairdressers.
Freelance Hairdressers Association
Established in 1993, the Freelance Hairdressers Association has flourished under Sheila’s’ leadership, supporting thousands of freelance professionals. Sheila has been instrumental in creating a platform that empowers freelance hairdressers with resources and education. The FHA also advocates for fair treatment and recognition within the broader beauty industry.

Her efforts have elevated the status of freelance hairdressers and bridged the gap between industry brands wanting to target and work with freelance hairdressers. Importantly, Sheila has inspired a new generation of professionals to pursue their passion in a freelance capacity.
