Sassoon Now Coming Soon!

Join the Sassoon Academy Creative team on Sunday 27th June as they launch their first collection for 2021. SASSOON NOW celebrates the Sassoon brand – drawing inspo from the creative hands and minds of the International Creative Team. This new collection collection features cuts and colours that reflect a free-spirited optimism that has its roots in bohemian modernism.

The 2 ½ hour event which will be streamed Live on the Sassoon Academy’s Facebook Page; will feature technical demonstrations and model presentations from the Sassoon International Creative Team. You’ll also be able to delve into the minds of the creatives and find out the inspiration behind the looks.

Mark Hayes International Creative Director says, “As a way of connecting with and celebrating the global hair and beauty industry, we wanted to make this launch as accessible as possible.”

Watch and Learn

The following day there will be an education opportunity where you can follow three haircut demonstrations and replicate looks from collection under the direction of the Creative Team. The 4-hour sessions are at 10am, 2pm and 6pm BST are priced at just $100 USD and each contain a full cut and colour technique with diagrams and head sheets, that will allow the viewer to explore the lesson in great detail. To avoid missing out, book your place at https://www.sassoon-online.com/pages/sassoon-now-collection.

The cutting techniques contain a modern interpretation of the bob, the ultimate Sassoon signature look, as well as Mid-length layered shapes inspired by The Mouche and the Shake, iconic Sassoon looks of the 70s. New ideas revolve around longer hair too, which are combined with shorter interior lengths and gentle face framing layered panels.

Textures suggest a relaxed, modern appeal. The hair is prepped with the accent on moisture and flexibility and dried for supple movement and understated shine.

To reinforce the feeling of liberation and originality, bright accents or monochromatic slices enhance the natural base colours, where classic techniques are reinvented and applied in advanced, innovative ways. New versions of barcoding techniques and Back brush highlighting are used to add dimension and depth as well as masterful reinventions of classic Two tone and back-to-back slice techniques.
