Pro Hair Live 2018

News added 15/02/18: Our train is booked and we’re heading to Manchester on 25th/26th Feb for the latest edition of the Pro Hair Live exhibition. We love this event for its authenticity and overall all joy of hairdressing! There are more than 70 free stages this year for visitors to watch their favourite artists on stage listen to seminars and join in discussions. We’re not always keen on the expo format but you know. These guys do it pretty well and the jam-packed programme for two days is impressive. Oh and its FREE. See you there! Get your tickets HERE:

News added 28/02/17:

Taking the train to Manchester for ProHairLive 2017 [26/27 Feb], we spotted several groups of hairdressers boarding at stations along the way. It was great to see salon ‘families’ making the journey together. You know. It’s really important to spend time as a team. Especially on days away from the salon, and to industry events in particular. Run by Professional Hairdresser magazine, ProHairLive is a favourite awayday of ours – the show is smallish compared with some, yet very focussed on hairdressing – no teeth-whitening or leggings for sale here! – and with fab education and shows on 4 different stages. Oh yes, and it’s FREE! In the busy environment of the Manchester Central venue, we spent a long time watching the HairClubLive on the Diamond stage – the HCL hair community is fantastic for offering hairdressers of all ages and stages a platform to show off what they can do [check out www.hairclublive.com]. continues below…

Get inspired

Moving over to the business stage, the likes of Desmond Murray – talking about creating moodboard for shoots and shows – and TOWIE’s Lauren Pope discussing social media with Hooker&Young held our attention, too. On the Platinum stage, Andrew Collinge, Hooker&YoungJamie Stevens, Errol Douglas and Karine Jackson were big draws with superb models and styling to show the best the industry can offer. You know it’s thrilling for salon teams of any experience to see such names. We heard plenty of appreciative comments among the packed crowds. For this year, ProHairLive introduced a strong barbering section with a stage surrounded by imaginative ‘barbershop‘ set ups showcasing many big brands. Browse our gallery below to see what we mean. And bravo to Hamerville Publishing, owners of Professional Hairdresser, who presented this two days Mancunian fiesta for hair. They did good! Make sure you’re there next year… we certainly will be.
