Pedal to the metal

The Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride made a comeback this year and raised a whopping £7,265 to help those in our industry who have fallen on hard times! Returning for the first time since 2019, when teams previously travelled to Girona in Spain; this year’s challenge saw a host of industry professionals put the pedal to the metal in the breathtakingly beautiful valley of Lake Garda.

14 riders took part in this bucket list experience all in support of the Hair & Beauty Charity, which catered for cyclists of all abilities. The group took rides of varying difficulty, with gentle routes to full-on adventures into the foothills and beyond all set against a picturesque backdrop.

This was the fifth Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride to be organised by Headquarters’, Victor Pajak, who commented: “A massive thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride and to everyone who supported them on their fundraising journey. It was a tough ride at times and I’m so proud of every rider who took part, and that we raised over £7,000 that will help the charity continue doing the great work that they do, and supporting people in our industry when they need it most.”

A special mention goes to the top three fundraisers: L’Oreal Professional Products Division’s Arianna Botti, Mariya Tsvetkova (Hair by Mariya) plus Julie and Andrew Mercer (Julie Mercer Beauty Therapy).

Other riders included Brian Thomson (Leslie Hairdressing), Anne Veck (Anne Veck Salon), Jeff Goodwin (Jeff Goodwin Hair), Andy Mercer (HB Collective and Great Lengths Hair Extensions), Victor Pajak (Headquarters), and Kate Preston and Ian Chisham (Kate Preston Salons).

Information on next year’s bike ride will be released soon so keep an eye on the Hair & Beauty Charity social channels.
