We were truly saddened to hear of the passing of Oribe Canales this week, one of the industry’s most adored session stylists and co-founder of the eponymous luxe hair brand. Aged 62, the hairdressing legend was a favourite with supermodels, A-listers and fellow industry icons. But he was probably most notoriously known for the 1992 Marc Jacobs’ Perry Ellis collection, which is often revered to have spearheaded the grunge movement.

Make-up artist Mary Greenwell appeared to be the first to break the news on Instagram, sharing: “I am so sad you are gone our beautiful Oribe. The world of fashion and beauty has lost a great soul”.
