One of the 23 presenters told us that #OpenChairNight in Putney this week was the best-ever hairdressing event he’s attended. We agree that this high-energy open-mic night for hairdressers just has to rank up there with the most fun this industry can have while being serious.
#OpenChairNight at Putney, London
For the uninitiated, HairClubLive presents the #OpenChairNight at randomly selected venues inviting anyone who wants to #darethechair for 10 minutes to show what they can do! Shine, share, inspire is the HairClubLive motto – we love it. A traffic light to signal time, a live DJ and celebrity presenters seal the deal.
This week 23 hairdressers dared the chair, with sponsors Hairslydz attending to hand out goodie bags and spot prizes. The Hairslydz brand ambassador Andy Smith was presenting spot prizes to the best looks of the night, with added prizes from Lacey’s distributors who gifted Unite, Joico and other brands to their winners. Ramping up the excitment, host compere Akin Konizi from HOB Salons, offered a day’s eduction for the hairdresser who created his favourite look. Here’s the roll-call of honour!
Ewan, the Nomad Hairdresser • Emy Rocabella at Danilo Hair Boutique • AnaMaria at Gina Conway
- Beautiful Braided Look – Enrica Russo at Danilo Hair Boutique • Fastest Holster Action – Ilker • Most Exciting Use Of a Texture Products – Lydia Wolfe

Well done all!
