#OpenChairNight by HairClubLive

What a night. #OpenChairNight by HairClubLive took place this Tuesday at August House in Glasgow sponsored by Revlon Professional. Hairdressers of all levels came together to share skills, creativity and inspiration in front of a buzzing crowd. The lively venue and expert DJ added to the atmosphere…it was a party where guests got to watch killer hair looks finished on stage. This awesome concept from HairClubLive allows stylists to feel inspired, show-off their own skills and network (with a G&T in hand) with like-minded individuals.

How #OpenChairNight by HairClubLive works

Unfamiliar with #OpenChairNight? Here’s how it works: Stylists each have a 10-minute slot on stage to create a look on a live model. A set of traffic lights keeps time; the lights change from green to orange on the last minute and when they go red…times up. No need to narrate – this is a party after all. Only at the end of their time, can the stylist take the mic to talk about their finished look to the excited spectators. Or not if they prefer to let the hair do the talking.

Revlon Professional

Revlon Professional sponsored this edition of #OpenChairNight and presenters could choose from a selection of products to add to their salon-kit and help them finish their looks.

Prizes

Revlon Professional gave out four awesome prizes for the presenters who stood out and really brought their stuff!

‘The Bravery Award’ for the first to get on stage was awarded to Katie-May Ramshaw and Libbie Buchan. Congratulations to both stylists, it’s always scary being the first in the line-up. We love the courage!

Grant Carr and model

‘The Only One to Bring a Male Model’ was awarded to Grant Carr; a standout look indeed!

Emily McLean and model

Emily McLean won the ‘Matrix Look of the Evening’ and we loved it. Emily’s look was absolutely suburb.

George Daly and model

George Daly won the prize for ‘Glasgow Grunge’ – very be-fitting for this edition of #OpenChairNight. Well done, George!
