Flying solo after many years as Head of Global Education for a leading hairtools brand (and being a star hairdresser and salon owner obvs!), Jo Robertson (above) reveals a clever new business initiative…
The Hair Agency
The Hair Agency launched this month and focuses on presenting education – coaching and development – for freelance stylists. As well as learning on a 1:1 basis with Jo, subscribers to the service can access help in building up a profile and a brand in order to gain education bookings. Interesting to see someone running with a trend and helping retain standards in our industry.
Over to you Jo
In Jo’s words she explains it this way: “There is a shift in education where the culture has changed, salons and stylists are looking forward to a catch up for freelance education in salon environments. At the moment it is mostly brands that are offering education, there is a desire for technique education as opposed to purely product focused education. This site allows freelance educators to have a page and shares their skills and services to many salons and stylists that they would not normally be able to reach.”
You can hear Jo talking a few months ago on our Respectfully podcast HERE where she discusses hairdressing education with Carolyn Newman. We’re loving this lady’s style and, if you like what you hear, then make friends quick!
