As if appearing on Dessert Island Discs wasn’t exciting enough, Trevor Sorbie MBE also threw a seventies themed bash for his milestone birthday (we’ll let you guess which one) last month and news just in confirms he’s expanding his medical hair loss charity mynewhair to Canada at the end of April.
Mynewhair
Trevor set-up mynewhair in 2006 in memory of his sister-in-law Jackie Anders who lost her hair through cancer treatment. The charity provides public advice and support to a national network of 960 professional stylists and 835 independent salons who provide a wig styling service for people suffering from cancer and medical hair loss.
Canada we’re coming for you
Later this month, Trevor and his training team will conduct a two-day nurse-led wig-cutting and styling seminar and workshop for professional hairdressers at the L’Oréal Toronto and Montreal Academies.
The charity’s launch in Canada follows the successful launch in Dubai last year and takes Trevor’s ambition to expand mynewhair throughout the globe one step further.
