July 4th is pretty much the only date in the diary that’s of importance to anyone right now – if you’re in the industry that is! But as the day of re-opening looms closer we thought it would be a great opportunity to relish the calm before the storm to gather your messages of hope – both personal and professional – for hairdressing post Lockdown. Here’s what you said…
βWe’ve undoubtedly faced the biggest challenge the hair industry has ever seen. The good news is that never again will the world underestimate the power and impact hairdressers have on our wellbeing. We are here supporting you, we will come through this as an even stronger, more unified community.β Lisa Jackson General Manager Revlon Professional & American Crew UK & Ireland.“My hope for a post lock down world is that stylists and creatives get all the respect they deserve. Itβs become so apparent how much people need their stylist in their life. Were just hairdressers we have a really important part to play in making people feel their best.” Janine Jennings, ghd Head of Education UK & ROI
“My hope professionally is that we as an industry can get back to delivering fantastic experience and service to our clients without fear and PPE restrictions as soon as possible, because that’s really what makes our industry so unique. It’s our ability to make people feel great. Personally I hope we will soon be able to give everyone we love a great big hug!” Ken Picton“We believe that by supporting each other we can all emerge stronger with a renewed perspective and appreciation for our businesses, teams and customers. This experience will produce new and innovative approaches that will strengthen the industry into the future.” Katie Wrighton, National Sales Manager, Takara Belmont (UK) Ltd.
“I look forward to having a positive vibe in the salon and make the working environment as safe as possible for my team. We are as salon are going to make more time for clients with a VIP/one to one experience and enhance client experience.” Dan Mewies, Mewies and Co and Schwarzkopf ambassador“Throughout this time, I’ve found comfort in the fact that we’re in this together and moving forward we continue to show solidarity in this brilliant industry. This thought makes it all a little bit easier to manage and reminds us that we’re not going through this alone, we’re all in the same boat and can support each other. It is an exciting prospect to get back to the salon doing what we love, making people feel good, making ourselves feel good and lifting peoples moods!” Adam Reed, UK Editorial Ambassador for LβOrΓ©al Professionnel
