L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award entries for the UK and Ireland are now open, offering all professional hairdressers the chance to demonstrate their exceptional talent and creativity as part of the world’s biggest live hairdressing competition.
Since its inception in 1954, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy has been a beacon for hairdressing excellence, offering hair pros a platform from which to showcase their skill and artistry to a worldwide audience. This year, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy continues its mission to uncover and celebrate talent, welcoming entries from all hairdressers, with categories to suit all experience levels.
The Categories
Choose from a variety of categories designed to represent the full spectrum of hairdressing talent:
L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award: Craft a well-executed, inspirational, and modern colour look on any model, complemented by a beautiful style and finish, taking inspiration from upcoming trends.
L’Oréal Colour Trophy Afro Award: Demonstrate your skill in creating a modern colour look on models with hair textures between 3C and 4C, celebrating the beauty and versatility of Afro hair.
L’Oréal Colour Trophy Star Award: Open to individual colourists aged between 16 and 25, this category encourages young talent to present their innovative colour creations.
L’Oréal Colour Specialist Award: For those who have completed the L’Oréal Professionnel Paris Colour Specialist education programme, this category focuses on advanced colour techniques and expertise.
L’Oréal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award: Aimed at emerging talent, entrants are invited to showcase their potential and creativity in hair colour.
L’Oréal Colour Trophy Moving Image Award: Create a 30-60 second reel on Instagram or TikTok that highlights your finished hair look, demonstrating artistic vision, creativity, and technical skill.
Grand Finals: a celebration of excellence
Finalists will be invited to compete at Grand Finals in Dublin and London, where winners in all categories will be announced at an inspiring and interactive event. These events will also feature spectacular shows by industry luminaries and promise to be a showcase of colour excellence and creativity unsurpassed by any other live hairdressing event.
