London Fashion Week AW20 shows

The fashion-pack caravan has rolled onto to Milan then hits Paris end of this month, but our eyes are on the London schedule which has given us quite a lot of hair this season. We love it! Among our highlights we pick out special mention for the L’Oréal Professionnel teams.

THE A-GAMERS

At Bora Aksu lead Daniel Martin showed his team how to create pre-Raphaelite flat-waves on all the models. While at Erdem lead Anthony Turner took inspo from 1920s Cecil Beaton to deliver finger-waves detailing on looks with a masculine-feminine twist. We’re impressed – it’s no mean feat to create strong hair styles in a high-pressure #LFW environment. These are strong results from the L’Oréal Professionnel teams.

For Molly Goddard, lead Luke Hersheson channelled the spirit of Kate Moss for a 90s ‘It girl’ vibe – doused in grunge and double denim. Hair was pieceyin texture with a hint of movement. At Charlotte Knowles, lead Shiori Takahashi also kept a loose, natural texture in the ahi but added gel for an edgy finish, calling it a hidden strength.

At Togo, Shiori Takahashi again took the lead and focussed on keeping each model individual, celebrating what makes her, her! Fresh, natural and unforced was the mantra. For the Rejina Pyo show, Shiori worked a more carefree mood, with a sexy allure. hair was pushed off the face for a nonchalant ‘damp’ rather than wet look.

Great work from a brand that really knows how to support the catwalk shows with hair work that becomes part of the fashion look. Nicely done to all L’Oréal Professionnel teams.
