Lady Gaga goes back to blonde

It’s hard to believe the woman who made her Hollywood debut this fall in A Star is Born, is the very popstar who appeared on the MTV Awards’ stage in a raw meat dress back in 2010.

Not only does this a) prove the Poker Face Singer is also a fantastic actress – her portrayal of struggling singer-songwriter Ally Maine will blow your mind if you haven’t seen the movie. But b) the power of clothing, make-up and, most relevantly, hair style and colour is REAL.

Lady Gaga revealed to Ellen DeGeneres, live on her American TV show, that the evening she finished filming she changed her hair from brunette back to her signature platinum blonde. “I literally dyed my hair blonde the night we stopped shooting because there’s some tremendous emotion and tragedy [in the movie], so I wanted to get her out, but to be honest, she’s still in here,” Gaga recalled as she pointed to her heart.

The master behind the chair

The stylist responsible for transforming the 32-year-old pop-star back to blonde and maintaining her high-maintenace hue is Frederic Aspiras. And to answer your next question, he used Joico Blonde Life and the new Crème Lightener.

“I use Joico’s Blonde Life Crème Lightener to try and maintain the hair’s original condition without creating further damage” explains Frederic. “And to maintain that look of a healthy, shiny blonde I stick to Joico’s LumiShine Line and K-Pak to prevent further breakage and maintain the hair strength.”

Thankfully for us blondies, going lighter no longer means having to sacrifice healthy looking hair. With protective ingredients, new Blonde Life Crème Lightener – with up to 9+ levels of lift – changes the game and protects by reducing breakage by 77 percent in a single treatment (against combing breakage on damaged hair when used with JOICO Blonde Life Brightening Masque).

So, do Blondes really have more fun? Gaga believes they do.
