IPCC 2022 is in full swing

You spend all day cutting hair right? Have you thought about taking part in the International Precision Cutting Championships ( a.k.a IPCC). We recently spoke to Sarah McCulloch – 2021 UK finalist who shared all the details on why you should enter because in actual fact, this is not just a competition. It’s a learning experience to make you a better cutter. Catch up HERE

You only need a pair of scissors, a cutting comb, a doll-head and a camera (and maybe some make-up if you’re like Sarah).

The IPCC is an online competition that celebrates the craft of cutting. No need for professional photography or expensive models, this is one helluva a fab contest which pretty much anyone of any level can enter (including those still in training). As entries are posted on Instagram with the hashtag #IPCChampionshipuk you’ll see your engagement levels shoot through the roof as other entrants from across the globe come together to admire your work. It’s like being part of a community.

Along the way you can take part in the education seminars to perfect your technique. Even if you’re not a confident cutter, it’s worth getting involved purely for the education. Check out @ipcc_uk for the latest demo’s on how to cut a triangular layer – the cutting technique for stage one of the competition
