In The Chair: Chris Hughes

Fudge Professional Global Ambassador, Jonathan Andrew welcomes the one and only Chris Hughes to his chair for the fourth episode of  ‘In The Chair.’ This episode explores the secret-spilling, open and honest relationships hairdressers have with their clients – whilst getting a glimpse of  Jonathan’s backstage tricks.

Fudge  fan Chris has kept us on our toes with his light-hearted banter, ever-changing hairstyles and not forgetting his talent for rapping ever since leaving ‘The Villa’ back in 2017. Whilst being interviewed by Jonathan, Chris talks about his love for hair and the way it impacts his confidence. “If my hair’s not done or it’s not right, I’m not fully dressed…it’s like going out with no shoes on, you wouldn’t do it.” Jonathan agrees on the importance of looking after yourself, saying “Your hair is an accessory you can’t take off, it’s something you need to look after.”

Featuring his questionable American accent, the film shows off Chris’ love for hair and his characteristically comical escapades that we all adored on Love Island, such as his silver hair fail and the fact he can’t wink. You’ll also get to see Chris spitting bars about the new Fudge Professional Clean Mint Deep Cleansing Shampoo – ‘so green, so clean, so fresh and unseen.’

Top marks from us – this interview is a must-see.

“Chris was so easy to chat to and was the ultimate tag team hair partner. He’s genuinely very enthusiastic about hair styling and wanted to learn the best techniques to keep his style versatile and long-lasting, which I just buzzed off! We worked with his fave Fudge Professional Salt Spray and Fudge Professional Skyscraper for his finished looks. I also introduced him to the new Fudge Professional Clean Mint Shampoo – the rap says it all, he’s sold on the invigorating deep cleanse and energising menthol scent, plus the shampoo leaves hair feeling stronger thanks to our unique Opti-Plex technology. He also got to (literally) play with our Xpander Foam, which works incredibly well to add extra volume and workable texture to Chris’ style, and then we finished off his look with Matte Hed Gas; a dry matte texture hair spray that’s humidity resistant and provides a strong hold and locks style in place all day. All in all, a great ‘In the Chair’ session for Chris to take away and use himself at home now,” concluded Jonathan.
