Hair and Beauty Charity raffle

A prize of £1,000, or a Monica Vinader gold diamond tennis bracelet, or a £500 Selfridges voucher were among the prizes for this year’s Hair and Beauty Charity raffle. Quite the impressive draw! Some contributors were very, very lucky. And most importantly, it is all for a good cause. The raffle raised just under £11,500 this year and will help support those in the hair and beauty industry who have fallen into hard times.

The Hair and Beauty Charity announced its annual raffle prize draw on 8th December, with charity supporter Errol Douglas MBE announcing on socials.

The charity sold tickets online throughout the year and at key industry events, including the Professional Beauty Awards, the British Hairdressing Business Awards, the British Hairdressing Awards and The Fellowship Luncheon. The charity wants to thank the Professional Beauty Group, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing, and its valued team of charity volunteers who worked the tables.

Natalie Merola

Charity manager Natalie Merola says, “This year our annual raffle has raised just under £11,500. It is a testament to the generosity and support of the hair and beauty industry. As always, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us this year, those who bought raffle tickets and our sponsors who donated prizes. Your support allows us to continue assisting those in the industry who need it most.”

A challenging winter

Applications for financial assistance continue to rise as the cost of living remains high, with the total annual funding to beneficiaries rising by over 30% in 2023. The charity’s beneficiaries are facing a challenging winter, and the money raised will provide the vital support they need.
