Festival colour trends

Festival season is approaching, which means clients will be wanting fun, daring colours to brighten up their looks. Safy B says the music, fashion, creativity and (hopefully) sunshine will energise and inspire clients. With Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and many more on the way, it’s time to take a closer look at festival colour trends.

Festivals bring together a mix of people from all different backgrounds with their own individual style. Safy says this is the perfect opportunity for clients to be themselves and bring their hair visions to life. She has established 3 key festival colour trends which have been very requested and are applicable to colour clients of all ages.

Creative Candy

For your clients who want to be playful and enjoy the variety of colours on offer, try this pastel look. Safy says this “pastel candy” colour will take the festival playgrounds by storm. The colours are subtle yet striking and very much associated with the festival creativity.  When washed the colours fade gradually and leave the client with a more natural finish.

Formulation

Goldwell Elumen Play

Lavender – Pastel 20mls + 7mls purple

Mint – 20mls + 5mls metallic petrol

Coral – 10mls + 15mls yellow

Coral – 20mls + 5mls orange

Rose – 20mls + 7mls pink

Festival Flash

For your clients who want creativity throughout their look, flashes of colour are a great way to brighten up any style and give it a unique point of difference. Whether these colour flashes are small or large they can be tailored to each clients’  preference. Colour flashes can be matched to any outfit or theme. Place the panels of colour throughout the hair; they can be hidden towards the bottom sections to create a highlight effect when the hair is up.

Formulation

Working to a clean base, Goldwell Elumen TQ@ALL

Money Piece

For clients who want a quick and easy way to change up a look, add a small section of colour to the front of the hair, creating a face frame. Safy says this look can work on clients who want vivid colour and clients who want subtle colour. This isn’t a large colour commitment and it is something that can be easily implemented which makes it incredibly versatile. Safy says this look also fades into something natural and beautiful. Ideal!

Formulation

Coloured using Goldwell topchic

Roots – 6KG

Mids/Ends – 7kg + 10% of orange pure pigments

Frame – Elumen TQ@all/ VV@all/PL@all
