Hairdressing; a skilled, highly entrepreneurial profession and the biggest and most powerful sector in the £28bn-a-year British beauty industry. Now Anne Veck, director of Anne Veck salons in Oxford has demonstrated she is not only a leader in her city, but a hairdressing star, beating off nationwide competition to earn a finalist place in not one but two categories of the Most Wanted Awards.
The awards feature 14 categories celebrating success across a multitude of disciplines and entries are judged by experts from across the board. Anne is one of five finalists in both the Creative Talent and Hair Trend categories, earning a place at the grand final. Here, 750 hairdressing VIPs, fashion A-listers, leading talent agents, business magnates and influential beauty and fashion editors will gather to crown the hairdressing stars of 2020.
‘Toxic Fashion’ is the collection that has secured Anne’s place as a finalist, a collection that she creatively put together while in lockdown. Since reopening on the 4th July, Anne Veck Oxford has never been busier. For Anne, becoming a finalist for such a prestigious award is a reminder that hard work, dedication and passion pays off – even when you can’t open your business or see your clients.
