Hats off to hairdressing icon Andrew Barton who closed our Respect LAB launch event on an absolute high. His heartfelt message on the importance of salon-based hairdressing and safeguarding our community for the future, was real and heartwarming. Transforming the event into an open discussion among like-minded friends, it was fascinating to hear Andrew’s journey of highs and lows and how he managed to re-invent himself following different challenges in his career. Amazing to hear about his time at Urban Retreat in Harrods, with its gigantic team of stylists – apparently it wasn’t one phoning in sick a day, more like 22 – and finally how he came to became Creative Director at Headmasters.
