The Creative Retreat London

As hairdressers, our creativity needs nurturing, evolution and a fresh perspective, but when you’re caught up in the demands of running a business or working solo, finding the time and inspiration to invest in yourself can be challenging.

We’re delighted to hear acclaimed hairdresser and educator Candice McKay has announced her second edition of  The Creative Retreat London. This experience could be just what you need. Candice will host a 2-day dive into reconnecting with how you think and create, not just what you do. The first retreat earlier this year was super successful. We can highly recommend!

HOST AT THE CREATIVE RETREAT: CANDICE MCKAY

Take a Creative Retreat

The Creative Retreat is  two-day reset for hairdressers. For those of you who want to think deeper, create better, and reconnect with why you started. It’s hosted in East London in the calm, nurturing space at Mash Studio near Hackney, with the emphasis on pausing for thought. Reconnect with your creative instinct – the part of you that knows why you do what you do.

Hairdresser Candice McKay has an extraordinary breadth of experience as a hairdresser, salon owner and educator. We’ve known her a long time here at Tribu-te Magazine. In our view, Candice is a guide and mentor. She will share with you how to step out of routine and back into curiosity, confidence, and creative flow.

At its core, this Creative Retreat is about helping hairdressers reconnect with how you think and create, not just what you do.

There’s a strong focus on:
– mindset and creative confidence
– how to stay creative on a daily basis
– stepping out of repetition and back into curiosity, curating ideas and concepts
– reducing the pressure around social media. Building a more natural, sustainable way of showing up
– understanding trends and translating them into work that feels relevant and personal.

If you’re good at what you do, but feel stuck in pace, pressure, or routine, then join. This is two days you’ll carry with you for years to come.

Who is it for?

The Creative Retreat is designed for hair professionals who are:

  • Ready to elevate their artistry and thinking
  • Interested in planning and producing professional shoots
  • Keen to develop stronger branding, content and visual direction
  • Looking for education that goes beyond technique.
