Wear your mind on your sleeve

The Lions Barber Collective asks men to ‘wear their mind on their sleeve’ with a brand new clothing range supporting mental health. The suicide prevention charity has designed a 100% non-profit clothing brand called Roar Materials to support those suffering with their mental health.

The Facts

  • Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK
  • The Roar Materials #WearYourMindOnYourSleeve t-shirt range aims to allow sufferers, survivors and supporters of mental health to literally wear their mind on their sleeve to show support
  • Money raised from the clothing range will help Lions Barber Collective continue supporting men’s mental health and suicide prevention in the UK.

The Story

Tom Chapman, founder of the Lions Barber Collective set the clothing brand up alongside his client, clothingentrepreneur and screenprinter – Paul Richardson. It all started from a conversation whilst Paul was getting his hair cut. Tom and Paul have been on one heck of a long journey together as Paul’s was the first life saved by the Lion’s Barber Collective!

The Roar Materials t-shirts have the words ‘your mind’ subtly embroidered on the sleeve. Enablng wearers to show that they have suffered, support or lost someone to mental health. The brand is 100% non-profit and every penny goes towards helping the Lions Barber Collective to continue it’s valiant work; helping men up and down the UK. Wearers are encouraged to share snaps in their t-shirts online using #WearYourMindOnYourSleeve to help spread awareness.

What Tom Says

Like your favourite band or sports team shirt, the Roar Materials t-short range has been designed to allow you to instantly relate to and connect with others you may not know. It’s a symbol that you care, a symbol for change and unity. A symbol that can be worn with pride because like a pride of lions, we are stronger together. We all need to look after our mental health, so let’s build the pride ad wear our minds on our sleeves to show support and let people know they are not alone. This is a brand by people, for people, to save people and worn by survivors, sufferers and supporters of mental health.

The ‘Wear Your Mind On Your Sleeve’ range can be purchased from the Roar Materials website.
